Dive with us in the city of A Coruña! Guided tour of A Coruña

Cruise Terminal - A Coruña (Miramar Cruises)
  • Duración
    1h 30m

A walk to remember in the beautiful Coruña!

We will start our almost two-hour visit in the Avenida de la Marina, the largest glass street in the world. At our meeting point we will make a short introduction with the history and origin of the city and we will visit the old town and some of its most charming squares, such as María Pita, Azcárraga, Constitución and the gardens of San Carlos.

There will also be space to visit the new area and to learn which two large companies in the city became internationally known.

Two clues: they have to do with gastronomy and the textile sector.

After strolling along the Orzán inlet and discovering why Coruña is called “the balcony of the Atlantic”, we will return to the meeting point, but not before listening to the guide’s personal recommendations about the city.

If you come to Coruña you can’t miss this visit!

This tour is essential to see the different parts of the city: Old Town, modern part and the maritime area. The guided tour focuses on the historical and monumental aspect, but also on the battles and other curiosities that have occurred in the city.

The tour begins in the Plaza de María Pita to discover who this heroine was. It continues to the Old City, remembering the marriage of Elisa and Marcela, the first church of the twelfth century, the first building of the town hall, the garden of San Carlos with its views, the passage of the English Way to Santiago de Compostela…

Leaving the Old City, we continue strolling along the Marina, mentioning the imposing galleries of A Coruña, thanks to which the city is nicknamed “City of Glass” or “Balcony of the Atlantic”.

Finally, the most modern part of the city is visited, crossing the Royal Street and the Obelisk.
